Environment

We have clear requirements for all the wood we use, including a ban on illegally harvested wood. By 2020, we want all our wood to come from more sustainable sources, defined as certified or recycled.
Chair:
Since 2015, all leather, cowhides, sheep- and goatskins at IKEA are chrome-free. Chrome can be very toxic for people in the production and for the environment, which is why we use alternative substances.
